Who is the healthcare provider on the other end of the visit?

Do I need any training to use TytoCare?
TytoCare has built-in training videos and guidance technology to help ensure accuracy and ease-of-use. When using Tyto during a live telehealth exam, your clinician will guide you through the examination process, letting you know where to put the stethoscope on your heart, where to place the otoscope inside the ear, etc.
Is TytoCare covered by insurance?
You can use your FSA (Flexible Spending Account) to pay for the Tyto device. Medical exams and virtual visits with your doctor are often covered by your insurance. Please check with your provider or insurance company to determine if telehealth visits are covered by your plan.
What exams can be performed using TytoCare?
A TytoCare visit provides your physician with high-quality digital sounds of the heart and lungs, high-quality digital images and video of the ears, throat, and skin and measures heart rate and body temperature. Using this examination data, your doctor can provide you with a diagnosis, treatment plan, and prescription if needed.
Can I use TytoCare away from home?
Yes. TytoCare is lightweight, compact, and portable. It is designed for all types of remote use. All you need is the TytoApp, a smartphone or tablet, and a Wi-Fi connection.
Who sees the data from my exams, and is it HIPAA-compliant?
Exam data is sent via an encrypted, secure network and is stored on our HIPAA-compliant cloud. Only you and your healthcare provider can determine who can access your medical records.
Is TytoCare FDA cleared?
TytoCare Stethoscope is FDA cleared and all other devices comply with FDA requirements.
Who can use TytoCare?
TytoCare is for use by adults, 18-65 years of age who are comfortable using mobile apps. If you wear eye glasses, contacts or hearing aids, please use them while using Tyto.
Is TytoCare similar to the exam tools used by doctors in an office?
Yes, TytoCare includes an otoscope (ears), stethoscope (heart, lungs, and abdomen), basal thermometer, and digital camera (skin and throat) and is designed to provide your healthcare provider with the same type of examination data he or she would use in the office. The TytoCare Stethoscope was cleared by the FDA and all other devices comply with FDA requirements. TytoCare devices have passed multiple performance bench tests versus comparable devices to ensure quality results.
What conditions can be diagnosed with TytoCare?
TytoCare can help a healthcare provider diagnose and treat many common conditions, including ear infections, sore throats, fever, cold and flu, allergies, pink eye, nausea, constipation, asthma, bronchitis, upper respiratory infections, bug bites, and common skin conditions, including contact dermatitis, rash, and diaper rash.
Can I receive a prescription after a TytoCare telehealth visit?
Yes. If a prescription is needed, your provider can prescribe and send your prescription directly to your preferred pharmacy.
What is my role in the TytoCare exam?
You will perform the exams at home on yourself or your child using TytoHome using Tyto’s proprietary guidance technology or under the guidance of a healthcare provider. In both scenarios, you will be guided through the process to ensure accurate exam data is captured.
What is the healthcare provider’s role in the TytoCare exam?
Your healthcare provider will use the data provided by TytoHome, in combination with the video consult, to examine, diagnose, and treat your conditions remotely.
Is TytoCare okay to use on sensitive skin?
Yes. TytoCare conducted biocompatibility testing and was found to be in full compliance with the biocompatibility standards requirements.
Is TytoCare HSA/FSA approved?
TytoCare is approved for purchasing with HSA/FSA funds.
Can I use my HSA/FSA card to purchase?
Because TytoHome is HSA/FSA approved, all you need to do is check out on tytocare.com using your HSA/FSA debit card. You are also able to use another form of payment and apply for reimbursement through your plan at the discretion of your provider.
I already ordered. Can I still get reimbursed through my HSA/FSA account?

You may need to use your TytoCare when you or a family member is feeling sick or even for wellness checks.
Will I be able to talk to my doctor?
Currently, TytoHome is associated with our partner provider network such as LiveHealth Online, Ochsner, Novant, Baptist Health and Sanford Health. There is the ability to share exams with your own provider, this will enable you to let your own provider access the exams.

What comes in the TytoHome box?
The TytoHome kit includes the Tyto device with exam camera and thermometer, otoscope adapter for examining the ears, stethoscope adaptor for heart and lung sounds, and a tongue depressor adaptor for the throat.
Does TytoCare provide your doctor with real-time data?
Yes, depending on the service provider. The TytoCare platform has 2 main options–‘See a Clinician Online’ or ‘Exam and Forward’. The ‘See a Clinician Online’ feature allows the provider to access the Tyto Device during a visit in real time.
